PREDICTIVE POWER OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND THE MANAGEMENT OF DEPRESSION USING YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The study investigates predictive power of social entrepreneurship in the management of depression using youth entrepreneurship in Nembe LGA, Bayelsa State. The cross-sectional design was adopted with a sample size of 286 was determine using percentage method. From the copes of questionnaire distributed on 264 were analysed using Likelihood ratio in alignment with the Chi-Square. From the findings the predictive power of emotional social entrepreneurship in the management of depression using youth entrepreneurship. Also, predictive power of instrumental social entrepreneurship in the management of depression among in-youth entrepreneurship were positive. In conclusion, the social entrepreneurship mitigates depression and social cynicism. However, Parents, teachers, friends and other important persons should always encourage preventive measures and proactive approach with a broader focus on giving attention, help and support to the emotional and physical need of in-youth entrepreneurship in case of any subjected psychological problems and violent experience. Stakeholders should organize and sponsor seminars and workshops for students, parents and other stakeholders in skills, risk culture and education on the need to promote good values and acceptable behaviour in the communities with youth entrepreneurship.
